At KHELIFI CONSULTING LLC, ethical conduct is not merely a compliance requirement — it is the foundation of our professional identity and the cornerstone of trust with our clients. This Ethics Code establishes the principles and standards that guide our behavior, decisions, and relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders across the MENA region.
Core ethical principles
Six principles anchor our conduct: integrity (we act with honesty, transparency, and moral courage); confidentiality (we protect client information with the utmost care and robust security); excellence (we deliver high-quality work that meets international standards); objectivity (we provide independent, unbiased advice free from conflicts of interest); respect (we treat all individuals with dignity, valuing diversity and inclusion); and responsibility (we hold ourselves accountable to clients, society, and the consulting profession).
1. Client relationships and service delivery
Client interest priority: we place our clients' interests first. We do not allow personal interests, third-party pressures, or commercial considerations to compromise our professional judgment.
Competence and capability: we accept only engagements for which we possess the necessary expertise, experience, and resources. When specialized knowledge is required, we either develop the capability or engage qualified specialists with client consent.
Clear communication: we communicate clearly and honestly with clients about scope of services and deliverables, methodologies and approaches, limitations and assumptions, potential risks and challenges, and progress, findings, and recommendations.
Quality assurance: we implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of our work. All deliverables undergo thorough review before presentation to clients.
2. Conflicts of interest
Identification and disclosure: we proactively identify potential conflicts of interest before accepting engagements. Any actual or potential conflicts are disclosed to affected clients immediately, with full transparency about the nature and implications.
Conflict management: when conflicts arise, we implement appropriate safeguards, which may include information barriers between engagement teams, independent review processes, recusal from specific decisions or activities, and declining engagements when conflicts cannot be adequately managed.
Independence: we maintain independence from financial interests, business relationships, or personal connections that could impair our objectivity or create the appearance of bias in our professional judgment.
3. Confidentiality and information security
Protection of client information: we treat all client information as strictly confidential, implementing comprehensive security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. This obligation extends beyond the duration of the engagement.
Information barriers: we maintain strict information barriers between client engagements, ensuring that confidential information from one client is not used to benefit another client or for our own purposes.
Secure systems: we employ secure technology systems, encrypted communications, and controlled access protocols to protect sensitive information throughout its lifecycle — from collection through storage to eventual destruction.
4. Professional conduct and integrity
Honesty and truthfulness: we are truthful in all professional communications, avoiding misrepresentation of facts, capabilities, or credentials. We do not make false or misleading statements about our qualifications, experience, or the services we provide.
Professional competence: we maintain and enhance our professional knowledge and skills through continuous learning, staying current with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices relevant to our service areas.
Respect for law and regulation: we comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards in the jurisdictions where we operate. We do not knowingly participate in illegal activities or assist clients in unlawful conduct.
Fair dealing: we deal fairly with clients, competitors, and other stakeholders, avoiding deceptive practices, unfair advantages, or exploitation of professional relationships.
5. Fees and compensation
Fair and transparent pricing: our fees are fair, reasonable, and commensurate with the value delivered. We provide clear explanations of our fee structures, billing practices, and any additional costs before commencing work.
No improper payments: we do not offer, solicit, or accept bribes, kickbacks, or other improper payments. We comply with anti-corruption laws and maintain transparent financial relationships with clients and third parties.
Referral arrangements: any referral fees or commissions received from third parties are disclosed to clients. We do not allow such arrangements to influence our professional recommendations.
6. Respect, diversity, and inclusion
Equal treatment: we treat all individuals with dignity and respect, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, disability, or other personal characteristics. We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment in any form.
Cultural sensitivity: operating across diverse MENA markets, we respect local customs, traditions, and business practices while maintaining our ethical standards. We adapt our approach to cultural contexts without compromising our core principles.
Inclusive environment: we foster an inclusive professional environment that values diverse perspectives and encourages open dialogue, recognizing that diversity strengthens our capabilities and enriches our client service.
7. Social responsibility and sustainability
Positive impact: we strive to create positive social and economic impact through our work, supporting sustainable development and contributing to the prosperity of the communities and regions we serve.
Environmental consideration: we consider environmental implications in our recommendations and operations, promoting sustainable practices and responsible resource management where relevant to client engagements.
Public interest: while serving our clients' interests, we remain mindful of broader public interest considerations, declining engagements that would cause significant harm to society or undermine public trust in our profession.
8. Ethics enforcement and accountability
Personal responsibility: every member of our team is personally responsible for upholding this Ethics Code. We expect all personnel to exercise ethical judgment and seek guidance when facing ethical dilemmas.
Reporting concerns: we maintain confidential channels for reporting ethical concerns or potential violations. We protect whistleblowers from retaliation and investigate all reports thoroughly and impartially.
Consequences of violations: violations of this Ethics Code are taken seriously and may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment or engagement. We are committed to consistent enforcement of ethical standards.
Continuous improvement: we regularly review and update this Ethics Code to reflect evolving professional standards, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations, ensuring our ethical framework remains relevant and effective.

This Ethics Code represents more than a set of rules — it embodies our values, defines our character, and guides our daily actions. At KHELIFI CONSULTING LLC, we are committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in every engagement, every decision, and every interaction.
